For your children we will regularly reinforce good habits with toothbrushing and diet advice as well as fissure sealants and fluoride applications if your child requires them. A fissure sealant is a protective plastic coating which is applied to the biting surfaces of the back teeth. It prevents food and bacteria getting into the grooves of the teeth and causing decay. Fluoride applications are applied as a gel. Regular visits will encourage your child to gain confidence in visiting the dentist. We aim to help young people to feel comfortable enough to overcome shyness or fears and ask questions. This will help you and your child to understand how best to take care of their teeth in the future and grow up with a confident, healthy smile.
